Terms of use

Last updated: October 30, 2026. By using playpianolive.com or the Play Piano Live app you agree to these terms. The site is operated by Groove Forte.

The service

Play Piano Live provides free browser-based tools: an online piano, automatic piano transcription, and practice mode, plus educational articles. We may add, change or remove features at any time. The tools are free; we don’t charge for them and don’t require an account.

Your content

Audio and MIDI you open are processed on your device and stay yours. Only transcribe material you have the right to use — your own recordings, music you own or have licensed, or material used within the limits of applicable law (for example, private study). You are responsible for how you use and share transcriptions and MIDI files; publishing or selling arrangements of copyrighted songs usually requires permission from the rights holder.

Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated traffic, or use it to break the law or anyone else’s rights.

Our content

The Play Piano Live and Groove Forte names and logos, the site design, articles and original code are owned by Groove Forte. Third-party components are used under their own licenses, listed on the credits page. You may link to and quote short passages from our articles with attribution.

No guarantees

Transcriptions are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Groove Forte is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

We link to other sites, including YouTube. We aren’t responsible for their content or policies.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
